When you buy a Fraser Clubman or Clubman S, you get to choose the entire set-up of your Lotus 7 replica.

You can choose your:

Suspension

The Fraser Basic Kit is based around the de Dion rear suspension and the widetrack outboard front suspension. This offers a sound set-up for road handling and occasional fun on the track.

There are three suspension options available:

  • Widetrack outboard with cycle guards – the standard set-up
  • Widetrack inboard with cycle guards– this has aerodynamic advantages
  • Race set-up extra widetrack inboard front suspension with cycle guards – lightweight, this option offers the ultimate in handling

Engine

We offer a range of engines to suit our Lotus 7 replica sports cars but you can also talk to us about using other models and we’ll see what we can do for you. Here are the engines we currently use:

Toyota 4AGE 1600cc 16v and 20v

Silver or Black top – This is our base engine, chosen for its good performance.

Toyota 3SGE 2000cc

This is available either as a naturally aspirated or turbo charged engine. It is a popular engine, which is heavier than the Toyota 4AGE, but offers more torque and hp. We have also developed a huge range of aftermarket parts for this engine.

Toyota 2ZZ

This is the newest engine in our range, and is very lightweight. It’s an aluminium engine with about 1800cc, suiting the Fraser Clubman well.

Ford Duratec 2000cc and 2300cc

Another lightweight aluminium engine, this is a popular engine overseas and is becoming increasingly popular in New Zealand. It has good power output and there are a wide range of performance parts available for this engine.

Mazda MX5

With this engine you get to choose between the 1600 and 1800 models. This is RWD so works well with the standard Mazda gearbox.

Ford/Mazda 2500cc V6

Huge levels of torque and good hp make this great on the track.

And there are lots of other options and additions you can choose from to build the sports car you really want to drive. But some choices will involve extra costs.
