Fraser Cars Ltd is a privately, completely New Zealand owned company that operates out of Beach Haven, North Shore, Auckland. Scott and Ida Tristram are the Managing Directors of Fraser Cars after taking over the company from Neil Fraser in 2006.
Fraser Cars hand-craft the Fraser Clubman, a Lotus 7 Series 3 replica. This Lotus 7 replica can be purchased as a kit set or as a completed car, built to individual specification. Launched at the XPO motor show in 1988 sales have now reached over 300 units.
Fraser Cars export to Japan, USA and Australia. There are now more Frasers on the road in Japan than in New Zealand. Fraser Cars work with an agent in Japan. Other countries deal directly with the team at Fraser Cars in New Zealand.
The company recognises that in "Do It Yourself" New Zealand the kit market is important and actively promotes the sale of kits.
Because of introduced compliance systems, safety of customer built cars is ensured by a factory inspection and so the quality and resale value of the Fraser marque is protected.
The company's expertise in Turnkey cars has become a huge encouragement to the kit builder. To a Fraser customer, there are no secrets. Every assistance is given by the staff to help the kit builder on their way. Once the basic kit is purchased the company will do for you as much or as little as you desire.
