A run has been organised for the Constructors Car Club to visit 3 Squadron (Royal New Zealand Airforce) at Ohakea (Palmerston North) and to a few other interesting places in the region.

Aaron has extended the opportunity to the members of the Fraser Car Club to come along for the trip. It is a bit different to most of the Fraser Car Club trips as there is not much driving going on. The purpose of this trip is see the different venues as most people will be driving everyday cars. This enables us to go ahead whatever the weather
Date:  6-7 June 2015

Timeline:

Saturday AM:
Visit to Royal New Zealand Air Force Base Ohakea and a tour of 3 Squadron. A good chance to get up close and personal with the A109 and NH90 helicopters

Saturday PM:
Visits to the Rush Collection and the Coachman Museum in Feilding

Saturday Night: Dinner and get together in Palmerston North

Sunday AM: Breakfast followed by drive to Hoffman Ford in Pahiatua to see the famous Texaco Sierra

Return to Wellington via the Wairarapa

Registration:
All people wishing attend are to email Aaron (aaron.climb@gmail.com) before the 25th of May. This is to ensure all in the group can get access on to RNZAF Base Ohakea

At 3 Squadron there will be opportunities to:
* learn the history and roles of 3 Squadron
* see and explore NH90 and A109
* ask any burning questions you may have about these amazing aircraft
* check out the purpose built hangar and facilities

Rush Collection:
Collection of historic single seat motor racing cars and memorabilia.  Plus other vehicles of road and commercial interest, working brass items and over 2500 dinky, matchbox, corgi and other model toys. Entry fee $10

Coachman Museum:
Home to an outstanding collection of rural NZ heritage, including many historic vehicles, farm implements and archival displays from the horse drawn era and beyond. Entry fee $12

Texaco Ford Sierra:
